About us

Imia is an air conditioning installation, repair and maintenance service operating in Batumi and the wider Adjara region of Georgia. You can contact us using the details at the end of these terms.

Using this website

The content on imia.ge — text, images, the logo and the design — is our property or is used with permission, and is protected by Georgian and international copyright law. You may view and share it for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, republish or use it commercially without our written permission.

We try to keep the information on the site accurate and current, but it is provided for general information only and does not form a binding offer.

Services and quotes

We provide air conditioning installation, repair, cleaning and related services. A request made through the website, by phone or by message is an enquiry, not a binding order. A contract is formed only once we have agreed the work and confirmed an appointment.

The final scope of work is confirmed after we assess the site or the fault, because air conditioning work depends on conditions that cannot always be judged in advance.

Prices and payment

Prices shown on the website are starting prices (marked “from”) for a straightforward job, given in Georgian Lari (GEL). Unless we state otherwise, they do not include the cost of the air conditioner unit itself or of materials.

The final price depends on the actual site conditions — pipe length, wall type, height and access — and is confirmed in a fixed quote before any work begins. Payment is due on completion of the work unless we agree otherwise. We do not take payments through this website.

Booking, changes and cancellation

You can book, reschedule or cancel an appointment by calling or messaging us. Please give us reasonable notice if you need to change or cancel, so we can offer the slot to another customer.

Where the Law of Georgia on Protection of Consumer Rights gives you the right to withdraw from a distance or off-premises contract within 14 calendar days, that right applies. If you ask us to start work before that period ends, we may ask you to confirm the request expressly, and you may have to pay for the work already carried out if you then withdraw.

Workmanship warranty

Our installation work carries a 12-month workmanship warranty covering our own work — pipe joints, brackets and electrical connections. The warranty does not cover the air conditioner unit itself (which carries the manufacturer’s warranty), nor damage caused by misuse, accidents, power-supply problems, or work or alterations carried out by others.

This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights under the Law of Georgia on Protection of Consumer Rights.

Liability

We carry out our work with professional care and we are insured. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for faults caused by the pre-existing installation, the unit itself, or conditions outside our control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any of your mandatory consumer rights.

Your responsibilities

So that we can work safely and to a high standard, please give us accurate information about the job, provide safe access to the site and the units, and tell us about anything that could affect the work — such as concealed wiring or pipes, or structural issues.

Consumer rights and complaints

If you are a consumer, you have rights under the Law of Georgia on Protection of Consumer Rights, including rights relating to the quality of services and to clear information before you buy. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

If something is wrong, please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly. If we cannot resolve it together, you may refer the matter to the competent consumer-protection authority in Georgia or take it to the courts.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us will be settled by the competent courts of Georgia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page, with the date it was last updated, is the one that applies.
