How long does a standard AC installation take?
Most single split-system installations are finished in one visit of three to four hours: brackets, indoor and outdoor units, flaring, the electrical connection, vacuuming the system and a full cooling and heating test. If new pipe routing or drainage is needed it takes longer. Imia agrees the timing in advance and clears up afterwards.
Do you sell air conditioners, or do I buy the unit myself?
You buy the unit; Imia installs it. All quoted prices are for the installation work only. This keeps things transparent — you are free to buy whichever brand and model you want, at whatever price you find it. Tell us the room size first and we will tell you exactly what capacity and type to look for.
What is included in a standard installation?
Mounting the wall brackets and the indoor and outdoor units, running and insulating the refrigerant lines, flaring and torquing the joints, the condensate drain, the electrical connection, vacuuming the system to remove air and moisture, and a full test in both cooling and heating. Every Imia installation carries a 12-month workmanship warranty.
Can you install an air conditioner on a high floor or a facade?
Yes. Imia installs outdoor units on balconies, facades and roofs on the high-rise blocks common in Batumi, using the right brackets and anchors for the wall build-up. Difficult access, a long pipe run or a high floor is quoted on site before work begins, so the price is fixed before anyone starts.
How much does it cost to replace an old air conditioner with a new one?
Replacing a unit is a fixed price by room size: 80 GEL for a 20–40 m² room and 100 GEL for a 60–80 m² room. That covers removing the old unit, mounting and connecting the new one, testing it and starting the system. Reusing sound existing pipework is what keeps a swap cheaper than a fresh install.
Is there a warranty on the installation?
Yes — every Imia installation carries a 12-month workmanship warranty on our work: the pipe joints, the brackets and the electrical connections. If anything to do with the installation goes wrong in that period, one phone call brings us back to put it right. The unit itself is covered by its own manufacturer warranty.
